Before we start this course, we will first look at what will be covered during the training. The course is dived into categories and in each category, there are a number of videos. You can pause and watch again any video of the course. We update our courses regularly and you will be able to see the replacement and new videos as they are released.

You work through the course videos in order and to give you an idea of what the course will cover, the categories and videos on this course are:

Firstly, paediatric first aid provision, fears of first aid, scene safety, the chain of survival, DRAB and ABCDs, how to use face shields, initial assessment, recovery position, paediatric first aid kits and first aid and infection control.

Cardiac arrest and CPR is also included in this course. We will cover; CPR for older children, infants and children, drowning, compressions only CPR, CPR hand over, resuscitation of children, improving compression and breaths and an AED introduction

Older child, infant and child choking are also covered within this course.

Bleeding control is another category included in the Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course, demonstrating how to deal with serious external bleeding and shock.

The final category within this course will inform you on subjects such as anaphylaxis and epilepsy. This course has approximately 6 hours’ worth of videos.
